KEY

At A2 level, typical users can be expected to:


·                       understand and use everyday expressions and basic phrases


·                       introduce themselves and answer basic questions about your personal details


·                       interact with English speakers who talk slowly and clearly.


 


Format of the exam


·                       Reading and Writing (1 hour 10 minutes)

·                       Listening (30 minutes)

·                       Speaking (8-10 minutes)

  • Work all year? Do I have to work all year?
  • Speak other language? Do I need to speak other languages?
  • Where / picnic? Where is the picnic?
  • Date? What date is it on?
  • What / take? What do I need to take?
  • When / open? When does it open?
  • Car park? Is there any car park?
  • Cost? How much does it cost?
  • Start? What time does it start?
  • Tennis lessons /weekend? Are there tennis lessons at the weekend?
  • For children? Are there lessons for children?
  • More information? Telephone? Is there any telephone number to ask for more information?
  • What / win? What do you win?
  • Website? Is there a website to have it a look / to look for more information?
* ATTENTION: "Is there" and "Are there" are very common in this exam. The same as the questions in red.
